Horror movie marathon!
Joe Rogers hosted his second horror movie marathon this weekend. It was chock full of pork, Monster energy drinks, snacks and sweets! The above picture was taken of the fourth movie, "Blood Feast".

BBQ
Today we hosted an impromptu bbq lunch at our house. Just something simple with my parents and siblings. Dodge is officially addicted to mom's potato salad. We have a little bit left and we just may have to fight over it! :)

What the heck?
My friends Wayne and Brian just returned from London and I'm looking through their catalog of 14,000 photos (ok I'm exaggerating... but only slightly). While flipping through the photos I come across this little gem. What in heavens name does this mean? Taken literally I understand what it means but is there a mating zebra crisis in London so bad that it requires signs? I didn't know London had zebras! Just very odd.

Arts and Crafts with Matt
Today on Arts and Crafts with Matt we made us a super soft work-safe edition of nunchucks. Yes! I now have nunchucks!
Materials used to craft the nunchucks are spare strips of cloth from the blanket Karen made for her car, and paperclips. Thank's to Karen's blanket material the nunchucks are super soft and fuzzy. It's really a very simple design. I don't think I need to go into much detail on its construction.
Matt showed off his nunchuck skills by wacking my apple off the counter. Most impressive! I'm still a nunchuck n00b and will need many hours of practice.

Party In Matt's Cube!
He must be having a party. See all the confetti on the ground? It sure isn't because a certain co-worker walked in, grabbed his hole puncher and accidentally spilled its contents. Nope. It's a party! And it makes me laugh every time I walk into his cube. Because parties are happy occasions. Not because I think the mess is funny. Did I mention that they just vacuumed so he's stuck with it for a couple days?
It's also served as a Matt tracker. You can tell where he's been by following the confetti. Wee!

We made it!
We made it to Canada. Detroit skyline in the background and that stupid city can bite me. Freaking never ending detours that lead to giant circles around the city. At one point we saw a sign announcing we were only 23 miles from Ann Arbor! We only found the tunnel thanks to my iPhone and google maps. Stupid detour system anyway! Anyway we are here and ready for fun!
We Hate Detroit!
This Is War!
I realize it's meant for like families with children and such but I think this is the neatest darn thing ever. Dodge and I made characters and we created "adventures" for the chores that we do around the house. When we complete a chore, we go to the site and claim the chore for experience and a chance at treasure! The site is free with an option to upgrade to remove ads. It's silly and doesn't really do anything but it makes doing chores a little more rewarding.
You can keep track of our Chore War status here:
http://www.chorewars.com/party.php?name=Howell+Castle
I am winning right now but that's because Dodge forgets to update it. So I will be kicking his ass and then all of a sudden he addes 5 things and catches back up! I will get to level 2 first though!

My tulips have bloomed
If you know anything about me, you know I have a black thumb of death when it comes to plant life. That's why I'm always so tickled when flowers decide to grow even though I do absolutely nothing to help them. I really have no intention of helping them either as that would certainly be their death sentence. So I now have a row of beautiful tulips along my front walkway and snapped a picture before the evil neighborhood rabbits bite their heads off.

Ron's Last Day
Ron has gone and taking a job downtown (still with the State) and so is leaving the Web Team. We all went out to Charlie's after work to shoot some pool, drink some beers and say good-bye. We were there long enough to even enjoy the beginning of karoke night and sang a few songs. Best of luck to you, Ron. We'll miss you!
