Dodge's New Certs!

I almost forgot to blog this! Apparently changing my hair color didn't get rid of the ditz. Last Saturday, Dodge went to take another Microsoft Certification test and passed! Passing this test got him 4 new certifications:
  • Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer: 2003
  • Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator: 2003
  • Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer: 2003 Security
  • Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator: 2003 Security

I'm super duper proud of him and wanted to brag a little about how smart my honey is.

Dodge's Birthday

We went to Dodge's favorite sushi restaurant, Sushi Zen, in Brighton. My sister, Christy, Paul, Trisha, & Joe all joined us for some beers and a fantastic meal. I'm just happy because now Dodge is 31 and back to being older than me.

Easter Dinner

Went to mom's house for a wonderful meal. Mom had little eggs with our names on them sitting on the table. We then watched August Rush on pay per view. Great movie, by the way. Now just bummed the weekend is over already.

Way Cool Personal Cookbook

My mom today was telling me about something she saw on tv, a cookbook you can build yourself and easily change and update. You totally design it, can search their database full of recipes or add your own and for $35 build a hard cover cookbook with your recipes. This has got to be the coolest thing I've seen online in a long time. You can also set up friends and share recipes and add them to your collection.

http://www.tastebook.com/

An account is free and you can build your tastebooks with no purchasing involved. I can't wait until I have 100 recipes though because the books look REALLY nice.

Update 3/21: My co-worker Karen also found that AllRecipes.com is doing something similar. If you have an account with them it'd be easier to build your cook book with them.

Sharon and Matt's Birthday Bash

I'm starting to recuperate from this past weekend. I don't even plan on drinking tonight because I'm still hurting so bad.

Friday night we had a going away party for my boss who's taken a job in Ann Arbor. We went to Logan's and I had a couple beers there before heading home. I wasn't home long before I get a text message from Eric saying they were down at the Korner. So I went and visited with them and had a few more beers. Surprisingly, I was pretty ok Saturday.

Turns out that was all just practise for Sharon and Matt's Birthday party on Saturday. We had a big party bus to chauffeur us around. I can't speak for everyone but I drank ENTIRELY too much.

First bar we visited was Locker Room. I can tell I'm old because the place was loud and out of control. But as soon as I got with the program I was totally on board and having a great time. Wayne and Brian came out to see us, too! Picture is of the set up domino of Jagerbomb shots before they were toppled. It made a heck of a mess but was sure cool to see. Matt got a video of it on his camera. Maybe I can convince him to share it with me.

Later we went to Jamboozies which I vaguely remember though I do recall Sharon buying us pizza that I thought was absolutely fabulous. What a party! We of course stayed at Sharon's overnight and today (2 days later) I'm still recovering. It's been a long time since I've consumed this much booze.

More very blurry pictures of that evening are available in my Flickr account. It's weird but when you can't stand up straight or focus, your photos seem to reflect it.

New Hair Color

I decided I would try a new hair color with my new age. I consulted my hair stylist sister and she suggested a color called Cherry Cola. I said I'd trust her judgement and oh my gosh I absolutely LOVE it. She also added some caramel highlights. I think my hair has never looked so good! I came home and told Dodge we had to go out to eat because I was looking too good to stay home.

The Plague!

I'm really starting to feel better after being pretty stinking sick last week. I stayed home on Wednesday because I was feeling a little poorly when I woke up. Mostly a sore throat and some sniffles. The next day it was very obvious that I had a bug. I was going through kleenex like it was no tomorrow. The doctor was closed so I stayed home on friday and by that time my voice was all froggy and I looked slightly like death warmed over. But doc hooked me up with some meds and I'm feeling a lot better now. Yay for medicine!
